Spectacular cruise ship christening of the new AIDAprima during the 827. PORT ANNIVERSARY HAMBURG

This past weekend, the north German city of Hamburg once again hosted the world’s biggest port festival, the 827. PORT ANNIVERSARY HAMBURG. Taking place in front of the stunning backdrop of Hamburg’s port, the four-day program  with 300 ships and sea-faring vessels including 9 cruise ships created the perfect scene on the River Elbe and along the 6.5 kilometre party mile with various maritime, cultural and culinary highlights. Once again, an unparalleled maritime experience for the PORT ANNIVERSARY HAMBURG. that attracted more than 1.6 million visitors.

German cruise company AIDA Cruises took the opportunity to present its newest fleet member, the AIDAprima, in this stunning setting in the Port of Hamburg. With the spectacular christening ceremony and the impressive AIDA-fireworks it has been the perfect backdrop and the grand finale of the 827. PORT ANNIVERSARY HAMBURG on Saturday evening.
