Mediaserver

Description

On Hamburg Marketing GmbH's media server, registered users have the opportunity to download photos, videos and footage material and use them free of charge for non-commercial use in the sense of location marketing and editorial reporting.

Furthermore, by integrating the brand construction kit and the web-to-print tool, the media server offers all the support needed to create print products, provides PowerPoint presentations, signage (or similar) in accordance with the "Design Guidelines of the Hamburg Administration".

Via the transfer centre you have the possibility to send files collectively to recipients.

Registration

Click on "Register new account" in the login mask to go to the media server registration. There you enter your user group and personal data. You will find further information on the selection of the different user groups on the information symbol next to it.

After registration, as soon as your account has been activated, you will be able to view and download our brochures, Hamburg pictures and videos.

The footage material provided on the media server can be downloaded on request and used for non-commercial purposes.

Costs of use

All materials downloaded from our media server are free of charge as long as their use complies with the terms of use. If you wish to use the material beyond this, please contact us at markenservice@marketing.hamburg.de.

Use

Brochures
All files stored under "Brochures & Magazines" can be accessed by anyone, even unregistered persons.
Photos: Use is permitted for the press to illustrate journalistic and editorial reporting to inform the public about the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in all media and by administrative institutions ("municipal institutions") of the districts, administrative districts, municipalities and cities of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region; administrative institutions based outside the Hamburg Metropolitan Region are permitted to use photos exclusively for editorial publications (such as brochures) to inform the public about the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Furthermore, use by anyone is permitted for purely private, non-commercial purposes.

Videos
Use is permitted for the press for the illustration of journalistic and editorial reporting to inform the public about the Hamburg Metropolitan Region in all media and by administrative institutions ("municipal institutions") of the districts, administrative districts, municipalities and cities of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region; administrative institutions based outside the Hamburg Metropolitan Region are permitted to use the videos exclusively for editorially designed publications (such as brochures) to inform the public about the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.

Footage
To access the footage material, you must first be registered on the media server. When you select the desired footage sequences you can then request the download. For this purpose we ask you to write some information about your project. After successful verification you will receive an e-mail that you can download the requested material.

However, we ask you to read our terms of use before using the photos, the videos or the footage.

Brand building set

In the media server's branding toolkit, you as a user "municipal institution" have the possibility to access all documents explaining the exact requirements for using the communication pattern. This also includes templates and elements for design.

Web-to-print tool

The web-to-print tool provides you with a selection of templates to simplify the creation of print products such as posters and brochures in accordance with the "Design Guidelines of the Hamburg Administration".

Editing

All brochures, magazines, pictures and videos may only be used as provided. Therefore, cropping and colour editing of the photos is not permitted.
Only the footage material may be changed in its form.

Proof of copyright

Information on the authors of the material can be found under the respective selected file under the item "Copyright" in the metadata to the right of the image. In the case of photographs, the copyright notice must always be given in the form "Photo: www.mediaserver.hamburg.de / Name of the photographer" and directly on the image so that it can be clearly assigned to the respective image. For videos in the form of "Video: www.mediaserver.hamburg.de / Name of the producer".

Social media

Not all photo authors have released their photos for use on social media platforms. If you would like to use photos for social media channels, you can use the filter function "Share for social media" and the shared photos will be displayed.
