Hamburg, 18 July 2024 (HHT) - Since the premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Hamburg in December 2021, the Hanseatic city has become a place of pilgrimage for Harry Potter fans from all over the German-speaking world. Now Warner Bros. Discovery Germany and the makers of the show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are going one better: together they are organising the first ‘Back to Hogwarts’ fan event in Germany on 1 September 2024 at Hamburg's Grossmarkt and the Harry Potter Theatre. Traditionally, fans all over the world gather on 1 September to celebrate the moment when the Hogwarts students from the Harry Potter saga return to their magical school after the holidays. This year, for the first time in Hamburg, there will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of magic on this special day at the ‘Back to Hogwarts’ fan event, with free admission. With Hamburg Tourismus, Harry Potter fans can also secure a discount of up to 30% on the ticket price for ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ during Magic Weeks until 31 July 2024.

Hamburg, 04 July 2024 - It is the most spectacular construction project in Hamburg since the opening of the Elbphilharmonie: the extension and greening of a gigantic high-rise bunker from the Second World War opens its doors to the public on 5 June after several years of construction in the heart of the St. Pauli district. In addition to the already opened REVERBB by Hard Rock Hotel, exciting gastronomy, a memorial for victims and forced labourers of the last world war and plenty of space for district culture, the Hamburg Bunker offers plenty of greenery in the middle of the city with a public roof garden at a height of 58 metres and a ‘mountain path’. Over the past five years, the ‘Green Bunker’ has become a new creative, urban experience for Hamburg residents and tourists from all over the world. It is Hamburg's new architectural, urban development and tourism highlight in the middle of the lively St. Pauli district, with a unique panoramic view over the city and improves the (urban) climate with its greenery.

Hamburg, 6 June 2024 (HHT) - For Disney fans, a visit to the Hanseatic city is worthwhile three times over this summer, as three Disney musicals can be visited for a short time only: HERCULES, THE LION KING and THE ICE QUEEN. With the two German premieres of the musical hits & JULIA and MJ - The Michael Jackson Musical, Hamburg will once again prove its qualities as Germany's musical capital in late autumn. With Hamburg Tourismus, musical fans can secure a discount of up to 25 % on the ticket price of selected musicals until 14 July 2024.

Hamburg, 25.04.2024 (HHT) - A royal appearance in the Speicherstadt: the new Monaco section of Miniatur Wunderland was opened today in the presence of Prince Albert II, Princess Charlène and their twins Prince Jaques and Princess Gabriella. After eleven years of work, over 150,000 working hours and more than 5,000,000 euros in construction costs, the 70 square metre installation, including the Provence landscape and Formula 1 track, adds a spectacular attraction to Wunderland.
