Each year, the Kampnagel theatre hosts its “Hello Handmade” market, where designers and artists from all over Germany and Europe present their handmade goods. The former factory premises of Kampnagel now serve as a venue for national and international theatre, dance and performances and provide a great setting for creative events of all types.

On the first Advent Weekend, the Messehalle B1 is transformed into a pop-up concept store that offers an original mix of fashion, jewellery and product design, as well as art and photography. With a mulled wine in your hand, you can browse to the sound of selected DJs. Holy.Shit.Shopping is something like the club night of Christmas markets.

At the DESIGNgift market you can find products from local and regional vendors, as well as national and international design highlights. The market offers not only a special shopping experience, but also offbeat culinary specialties and a beautiful lounge area that is filled with live music from newcomer musicians and DJs. In June, the market is held in the open air as part of the “altonale” festival, and in November it is held in the Cruise Center Altona at the St Pauli Fischmarkt.
