Rathausmarkt

At the foot of Hamburg’s landmark, this Christmas market takes place in the heart of the city.

Opening hours: November 26th - December 23rd, daily 11:00 - 21:00 h, Friday and Saturday until 22:00 h

 

Spitalerstraße

Elaborately seasonally decorated huts with a wide range of items on sale, combined with the exclusive window dressing of the shops, turn the pedestrian zone into Hamburg city centre‘s Christmas shopping promenade.

Gerhardt-Hauptmann-Platz/ Mönckebergbrunnen

This year too, the „Traditionen im Winterwald“ („Traditions in the Winter Forest“) beneath the biggest Christmas tree will become the central meeting point of the city centre. Retailing, art handicrafts, and stands selling mulled wine and delicious food are to be found in the festively decorated booths in the „Winterwald“. With a fitting Christmas programme you will find a unique, contemplative atmosphere.

Fleetinsel

In peaceful seclusion – without street noise or garish lighting, you can enjoy the unique Christmas atmosphere in the
middle of the city centre. The location by the water gives this Christmas market a special, maritime flair.

Jungfernstieg

Hamburg‘s magnificent Jungfernstieg is resplendent, immersed in a sea of light. The aroma of mulled wine, cinnamon and roasted almonds spreads delicately over the boulevard between Niveahaus and Europa Passage. „White magic at the Jungfernstieg“.

Winter Pride

In the fashionable district of St. Georg, on the corner of Lange Reihe/Kirchenallee, Winter Pride is once again opening its pink doors to visitors in 2018. A mere stone’s throw from the Central Station, this alternative Christmas market attracts visitors with trendy music and a colourful weekend programme of events, not to mention the mulled wine and other delicacies.

Santa Pauli

At Hamburg‘s sexiest Christmas market, it‘s not just the mulled wine that‘s hot. Live music, the fireplace lounge on the winter deck and a strip tent draw visitors for a stroll around the cheeky, naughty Christmas market at the Spielbudenplatz on the Reeperbahn.

The colourful and Scandinavian- looking Christmas market along the Mercado shopping centre invites you to go shopping and take a pleasant stroll, with a lot of art handicrafts, an international range of foods and gifts
and a large programme for children. Highlights 2018: Sunday puppet theatre, wish list box and little house for kids.

Blankeneser Winterfest

The Klönschnack Christmas Market in Blankenese on Erik-Blumenfeld-Platz directly in front of the Blankeneser Bahnhof is a new meeting place for the people of Blankenese and an attraction for Hamburgers and tourists in Hamburg. The
attractive lighting design and varied range of cuisine are very popular. The elaborately decorated pagoda tents lend this Christmas market a fairytale atmosphere above the Elbe.

St. Michaelis — Hamburg’s oldest Christmas market

The Christmas market at the Michel has taken place on the first weekend of Advent for almost 100 years now. More than 100 arts and craft stalls are dotted around the church square, in the crypt and in the parish hall. The varied cultural programme will put you in the mood for the Advent season. Children can enjoy Christmas crafts and you can relax in the “Café der Generationen.”

St. Petri-Kirche

Hamburger Winterdom

The biggest public festival in the North. It enchants its visitors with its blaze of light and the aroma of roasted almonds and mulled wine. More than 250 shops offer a colourful mix of action, fun and entertainment for young and old and culinary delights for every taste. Every Friday, there are brilliant fireworks at 22.30h.

God Jul – Nordic Christmas at the harbour

The Christmas bazaars at the Nordic sailors‘ churches on Ditmar-Koel Straße are the gathering point for Scandinavia fans and northern lights.
