We coordinate the marketing of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region
The Hamburg Marketing GmbH (HMG) develops, communicates and coordinates the Hamburg brand. The HMG connects activities of other stakeholders involved in Hamburg-related marketing and aims to actively promote the favourable locational features of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region.
The HMG is in charge of the communication patterns of the Hamburg brand and provides all municipal partners with a uniform communication template to ensure a coherent design for all Hamburg communications. Our brand service also includes comprehensive picture material, video footage and texts reflecting Hamburg’s key brand modules.
Shareholder structure:
The HMG’s partners are: the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (75%), the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (15%), as well as the participating administrative districts and urban municipalities from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein (10%). These include:
- state capital Schwerin, the districts of Ludwigslust and Nordwestmecklenburg (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania)
- the districts of Cuxhaven, Harburg, Heidekreis, Lüchow-Dannenberg, Lueneburg, Rotenburg (Wuemme), Stade and Uelzen (Lower Saxony)
- the districts of Dithmarschen, Duchy of Lauenburg, Pinneberg, Segeberg, Steinburg and Stormarn (Schleswig-Holstein)
- as well as the urban municipalities of Luebeck and Neumuenster
