In addition to the targeted promotion of start-ups and the placement of talent, Future Hamburg focuses on forward-looking topics such as green hydrogen technology, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, modern harbours, mobility and transport.

The Future Hamburg Talks are already providing exciting insights into the city's innovation landscape - soon also as a podcast to bring Hamburg's vision of the future even further into the world.

Future Hamburg Award

The city of the future has always been a joint project. That is why Hamburg has sought dialogue with the best start-ups worldwide in order to develop innovative solutions for an economically strong, liveable and sustainable city.

A central component of this commitment was the Future Hamburg Award, which honoured pioneering start-ups whose ideas enrich future cities and make them more liveable. For three successful editions, it has honoured visionary start-ups that are helping to shape the cities of the future with innovative ideas.

The last award ceremony took place in 2023.
