The Media Relations department communicates Hamburg and its news and stories via dedicated PR campaigns (often with international targeting), through traditional media work (earned media) and, in the areas of business/innovation and tourism/culture, also through its own editorial social media channels (owned media).
The team also provides media, journalists and influencers with a comprehensive range of information and content services – including texts, story ideas, videos, TV footage, links, contacts and a research service on key topics from the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Based on the core idea of "putting Hamburg on the map", our activities and our worldwide network of partners help raise Hamburg's profile and address potential investors, decision-makers, skilled workers and prospective guests.
