Hamburg's connection to the USA - Atlanta

Hamburg and Atlanta are linked by a dynamic partnership that goes far beyond transatlantic trade. The Port of Hamburg is an important gateway for the export of German goods to the USA, while Atlanta, as the economic centre of the south-eastern United States, is home to numerous German companies and institutions.

The Hanseatic City of Hamburg's goal in the USA is to promote innovation, facilitate investment and intensify exchange in the fields of business, science and culture. Close relations already exist in the logistics, aviation, medical technology and renewable energy sectors.

The potential lies in particular in cooperation on future topics such as digitalisation, sustainability and start-up cooperation. Joint projects and networks strengthen the competitiveness of both cities and create new opportunities for companies and talent.
