One holding company, three subsidiaries: Hamburg Marketing GmbH, Hamburg Tourismus GmbH and Hamburg Invest GmbH operate as a single unit under the umbrella of Hamburg Marketing GmbH. They speak with one voice for Hamburg.

The aim of integrating the three subsidiaries in terms of organisation, content and personnel is to strengthen Hamburg-related marketing in a consistent manner.

A particular focus is on strategic and cross-sectoral Hamburg marketing. With standardised communication and the cooperation of all municipal institutions and relevant authorities, we ensure a clear presence as a metropolitan region and emphasise our international orientation.

Location marketing: Hamburg Marketing GmbH

The Hamburg Marketing GmbH is in charge of marketing the Hamburg Metropolitan Region and strengthening its profile internationally.

Tourism: Hamburg Tourismus & Hamburg Convention Bureau

Hamburg Tourismus is in charge of marketing the Hamburg Metropolitan Region as a travel destination, while the Hamburg Convention Bureau is the first port of call for conventions and events.

Business: 
Hamburg Invest

Hamburg Invest supports all companies wishing to set up business in the Hamburg economic region. As a one-stop agency for relocation and investment, it offers comprehensive, free services, ranging from location advice and real estate services to support for investment projects.

To this end, we coordinate and harmonise activities of other marketing players in the city. We ensure a consistent identity of the Hamburg brand and raise its profile among people and companies alike.

The Hamburg Metropolitan Region: a shared space for people and businesses

Hamburg Marketing GmbH markets the entire Hamburg Metropolitan Region across federal state borders. As the second largest metropolitan region in Germany, the area is home to five million people between Cuxhaven in the west and Ludwigslust in the east, Ostholstein in the north and the Heidekreis district in the south.
